Fitness: Well, now I have to live longer, (or at least try to…)

Luckily, I’ve been working on this this year…

At Con of the North, we walked up a couple of flights of stairs, and while I was carrying about 50 lbs of books, I was out of breath.  While the guys are a real sensitive, caring lot… they mercilessly made fun of me for quite awhile.  Later, I was talking with them and realized that if I didn’t start losing weight and getting back into shape, I would be one of the first to “go.”  (And that didn’t appeal to me.)

When I got back to work, one of my co-workers asked if I wanted to run something called the warrior dash.  It was the first time that it was going to be in Georgia, and it sounded cool, and it would start to take care of my other problems, so I said sure…

I needed to lose weight first, so I wouldn’t ruin my knees… I was reading  a book, “Four Hour Work Week” and the author’s blog, and I decided to try the diet he had on there.

I ended up losing 35 lbs total, (thus far.)  And I ran the warrior dash… (not a spectacular time, but I finished.)

I need to keep losing, and will try and update the blog with my status.
